Unfortunately, one of Lucy's few shortcomings is that she will eat anything that is bite size. We have an infestation of fireants in our yard (and I wear flip-flops alot...bad combo), and so yesterday I put some bait out to try to control the mounds. I let Lucy outside later and to my dismay saw her eating some bait. Fast forward to bed time. As I was falling asleep I heard Lucy begin to throw up, and so I carried her over to the desk. My thinking was that wood would be way easier to clean than carpet or a comforter. Lucy left her present on the desk, I took her out, and by the time we got back in, my wife Kristi...
...had already cleaned everything up, crisis averted! I went to sleep, no big deal.
At 5:30 I awoke to Lucy being sick again...this time I did not have time to implement my strategy. At first I thought she had just affected her doggie bed, so I took her out and read the instructions, which said to remove the cover and wash it in warm water. I then put Lucy back in bed, at which time I realized our comforter also needed to be washed. At this time Kristi half woke up and mumbled some gibberish that wasn't helpful, and I commenced to get Lucy to eat some food, and then put our comforter in the washer and replaced it with another. After that I was only able to sleep until 8:15...needless to say I started the day quite tired.
Despite my tiredness, I got up and I attempted to study for my online statistics class. I have a really hard time studying for a class where all I do is go take a test every now and then. Afterwards I did my usual rounds of checking email addresses and my Facebook account.
After that, since I am a great egg cooker (probably the best you know), I made a brunch consisting of Sunny Side Up eggs and some toast. I often do this, and I enjoy it...except I get ridiculously hungry around 4.
Lucy and I went for a walk, which is what we do whenever she's hyper (she's half Jack Russell). Afterwards, since I needed to mow the lawn, but had no gas or gas can, I went to Lowes, followed by the gas station. I let Lucy roam around the house while I was gone, instead of putting her in her crate. She was really good, and I am considering doing this more often. After I got home I fought the fireants, mowed the lawn, and then took a shower and headed into work.
Work was pretty typical. I spent a good bit of the day setting up the stage for this week. There is an orchestra, which means there was alot to do. Around 5 Joe suggested that we go to Hunan K, a local Chinese restaurant. I always tell people that Chinese is the only food I prefer not to eat. But, as I thought about it, it is really the buffets I don't like...so I decided I was ok with that. I ordered some spicy fried rice with shrimp, chicken, and steak, and it was quite good. Maybe I will give a few more Chinese restaurants a chance.
We went back and Joe and I were able to finish alot of the stage work before the volunteers came, and so it only took until about 8. After that it was just home to lounge around before bed. Tuesday night is always good because reruns of The Office come on TBS.
Tomorrow is a really busy day. I am going to take Lucy to play with Molly (my parents' dog) tomorrow morning at 8, after which I will be at school and work until 9. So, I think I'm going to try to get to sleep before midnight tonight...we'll see how that works out.

At least the dog bed was washer friendly...
Last night was a crazy night. I have a dog named Lucy, and she is probably the greatest dog ever:
