Playing catch up...

Sorry I've been absent for a little while. I haven't been in the blogging mood lately. Alot has been going on to keep me busy. I'm slogging through another semester of school. Hopefully I will be done with my BSN in December...and I am definitely taking a break from school for a while after that.

This past weekend Kristi, Addy, and I went to Hilton Head with some good friends of ours - the Bashams. We were a little sad to miss Freedom Weekend Aloft since we live right on the back of Heritage Park, but thankfully we had some hot air balloons over our neighborhood the two days before, and in fact one even interrupted breakfast by landing down the street. Addy was a big fan.

Hilton Head was fun, although Tropical Storm Beryl was bearing down on us so we didn't have the greatest beach weather after the first day. Mia and Addy had a great time on the beach and at the pool regardless, and it was definitely nice for Addy to have a friend there with us.

Since we've been back we've been gearing up for our 5th anniversary Aruba trip. I am pretty excited, but also a little anxious about leaving Addy for a week. I'm not worried about her safety since she's staying with grandparents, I'm just worried she'll feel like we abandoned her. I guess it will be fine.

Addy and I have spent some time in the backyard the past few nights. The flowers are blooming more and more, and the bugs are loving it.
